Job Title: Field Service Technician I
Location: Acampo, CA
Duration: 5 Months+ EXT
Pay Rate: $22.00 – $24.00/hr
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Job Summary:
We are seeking a Field Service Technician I to support research and development activities in agricultural field trials. This role involves hands-on work in outdoor environments, assisting with small plot research focused on crop systems, including tomato production. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, physically capable of working in field conditions, and interested in agricultural sciences.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in small plot agricultural research trials
• Collect and record field data accurately
• Perform field sampling of crops and transport samples to off-site laboratories
• Support trial planting, maintenance, and harvesting activities
• Operate basic agricultural equipment as needed
• Travel locally between research sites using a company-provided vehicle
• Work closely with the Product Development Specialist to support ongoing research projects

Qualifications:
• Must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Pursuing or completed Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Horticulture, Plant Pathology, Entomology, Weed Science, or related field (preferred)
• High school diploma accepted with relevant experience
• Experience with experimental design or small plot research is a plus
• Familiarity with agricultural equipment is desirable

Work Environment & Requirements:
• Ability to work outdoors in high heat conditions during summer months
• Physically able to perform fieldwork, including bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods
• Willingness to handle crop sampling (e.g., tomato harvesting)
• Local travel required between field sites
