Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Assembly Technician to join our team. The role involves assembling custom engineered tools using various technical schematics and drawings, ensuring quality and functionality before shipment, and collaborating across departments. You will also travel to customer sites for installations and provide support to Field Services Technicians.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble custom engineered tools using assembly drawings, pneumatic and electrical schematics, and E-drawings.
  • Communicate professionally across departments.
  • Test and troubleshoot custom tools for functionality prior to buyoff and shipment.
  • Perform formal quality checks on assembled tools.
  • Prepare shipments by utilizing the bill of materials and assist with building shipping crates.
  • Maintain a clean work area and appearance both in-house and at customer facilities.
  • Communicate any issues or delays immediately and accurately to the Build Lead for the project.
  • Travel to customer sites for installation of solutions, representing the company professionally.
  • Assist Field Services Technician as needed.
  • Perform additional miscellaneous tasks as required.

Essential Skills

  • 2-3 years of experience in assembly, mechanical, or related fields.
  • Experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and blueprints.
  • Experience working in a team-based environment.
  • Ability to travel 20%-40% of the month.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of experience with PLCs, HMI, and electrical schematics.
  • Familiarity with high-end drawings.

Work Environment

Work in a clean, climate-controlled, and organized facility. The position is first shift, from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, with electrical add-ons available.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bellefontaine, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $32.50/hr.
