Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  
• 7 years of experience in data analytics, Trust & Safety, policy, cybersecurity, or related fields.
  
• 1 year of experience with GenAI technologies.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience in SQL, building dashboards, data collection/transformation, visualization/dashboards, or experience in a scripting/programming language (e.g. Python).
  
• Experience making business decisions, including identifying gaps or business needs, evaluating product launches, and innovating and scaling solutions.
  
• Ability to handle multiple senior stakeholders, influencing safety strategy and operational execution at all levels.
  
• Ability to think logically and work effectively in a fast-paced/constantly changing environment and to influence cross-functionally and cross-geographically with all levels of management.
  
• Excellent communication and presentation skills (written and verbal) and the ability to influence cross-functionally at various levels.

Trust & Safety team members are tasked with identifying and taking on the biggest problems that challenge the safety and integrity of our products. They use technical know-how, excellent problem-solving skills, user insights, and proactive communication to protect users and our partners from abuse across Google products like Search, Maps, Gmail, and Google Ads. On this team, you're a big-picture thinker and strategic team-player with a passion for doing what’s right. You work globally and cross-functionally with Google engineers and product managers to identify and fight abuse and fraud cases at Google speed - with urgency. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $142,000-$205,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

• Direct the safety roadmap for high-priority GenAI launches, delivering robust testing frameworks and mitigation strategies for complex user harms and product vulnerabilities.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders in engineering, product, GDM (Deepmind), and legal, synthesizing perspectives to command alignment on high-stakes decisions.
  
• Act as the safety subject matter expert to embed guardrails directly into the product development lifecycle, ensuring they are "safer by design".
  
• Convert traffic patterns and safety signals into strategic intelligence. Anticipate emerging risks to influence product roadmaps and drive continuous innovation.
  
• Bridge high-level strategy with precise execution, orchestrating complex testing workstreams with partners while serving as the primary "front-door" for safety-related work.
