Azizam is currently hiring for a baker position as part of our bread & pastry team. Our goal is to provide a space with a warm and welcoming atmosphere through high-quality service and thoughtful presentation. We offer a menu with classic Persian dishes highlighting many nostalgic items found in the comfort of a Persian home.
An ideal candidate would be someone who is open-minded, a team player, a multitasker, and enjoys providing warm service in a neighborhood-friendly setting. We believe in providing an environment where all team members can continue to grow in their roles and duties at the restaurant, as well as on their own time outside of work.
We are a small restaurant with a non-traditional set up. At Azizam, tips will be distributed across the team based on a tip pool. Our aim is to create a fair working environment where all team members can learn a variety of skill sets–shifting between different roles. As part of the community, we hope to maintain an experience where guests can come to enjoy time & time again, as well as sustain a place of fair employment where we are proud to serve the food we create.
Job Responsibilities include:
*Commit to and uphold standards. Strive to make food and service consistent and thoughtful.
*Uphold cleanliness and Department of Health Standards
*Arrive and leave on time, and clock in/out accordingly
*Assist in proper storage of all ingredients, and finished product
*Maintain contact with team on inventory, status of task work, cleaning, and organization
*Daily inventory of prepped items and ingredients, following checklists
*Working with a sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment and work in a timely and efficient manner
*Maintain a positive, team-oriented, respectful mentality
*Responsible for making bread, pastries (choux pastry, custards, puff pastry), creams and jams in addition to a variety of other tasks
Job Qualifications include:

*Organization and time-management
*Collaboration: mutual respect, integrity and a strong work ethic
*Spanish speaker, a plus!
Compensation:
Pay rate: 18-19/hr plus tips
