Lititz – Casual/PRN Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

We’re currently seeking dedicated LPNs to join our skilled nursing Healthcare Center at Luther Acres (Lititz, PA) on a casual basis. We understand that flexibility is important, so we’ve designed a casual/PRN LPN opportunity that offers two unique tiers with premium compensation, letting you choose what works best for your lifestyle. Details of the casual/PRN positions are listed below:  

Tier 1 :  

- Paid Premium Rate  

- 2 shifts per month  

- 1 Holiday per year  

- Includes:  

Shift/Weekend Differentials  

Holiday Pay  

Tier 2 (Priority Scheduling) :  

- Paid Premium Plus Rate. Highest PRN hourly rate offered; ideal for highly flexible, experienced LPNs.

- 4 shifts per month  

- 2 Holidays per year

Shift/Weekend Differentials  

Holiday Pay

WHAT YOU DO:  

As an LPN at the Luther Acres Healthcare Center, you’re an integral part of providing compassionate care to the residents in our skilled nursing center and ensuring they are comfortable by monitoring their overall health and well-being. You’ll do this in several ways, including: 

1. Supervise an assigned skilled nursing area. Designate tasks and provide instruction and direction in methods and techniques of nursing and resident care in accordance with established standards and procedures. Ensure that nursing care plans, charts, and treatment schedules are followed by nursing staff. Perform nursing duties following licensure scope of practice. 
2. Administer physician-ordered pharmacological agents, therapeutic treatments, peripheral IV therapy, and hypodermic injections. Observe, objectively interpret, record and report resident response. 
3. Provide information/updates to nursing staff, supervisors, administration, physicians, and other disciplines as appropriate to coordinate continuity of care. 

Our LPNs are assisted by Certified Nursing Assistants in providing care to our residents.

Luther Acres – located in the charming, historic town of Lititz – is a Continuing Care Retirement Community with a long history of providing excellent care and services. It is part of Luthercare, which is a not-for-profit, faith-based, and mission-driven organization. Luthercare provides a network of services through its full continuum of care with two communities in Lancaster County. With nearly 600 residents, Luther Acres offers independent living cottages and apartments, personal care apartments, and a skilled nursing Healthcare Center. 

Qualifications/Requirements:  

1. Current PA Licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse
2. Current CPR Certification
