Title: Corporate Tax Manager
Status: Hybrid (Minimum 3 days in-office)
Location: Hartford, CT or Boston, MA
Salary: $121,000 - $181,400

Job Description:
An established professional services organization is seeking a Corporate Tax Manager to join its tax practice, supporting clients with corporate income tax planning, compliance, and ASC 740 income tax accounting. This role involves managing multiple client engagements while collaborating with internal tax specialists to deliver comprehensive solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage tax engagements from planning through completion, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets
• Review corporate tax returns and identify opportunities for tax efficiency and accuracy improvements
• Oversee ASC 740 income tax provision work, including preparation, review, and audit support
• Supervise and mentor junior staff, providing guidance and performance feedback
• Research complex tax issues and provide technical guidance on federal, state, and international tax matters
• Respond to inquiries from tax authorities and support resolution efforts
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, working closely with stakeholders across various levels
• Identify opportunities to expand services within existing client accounts
• Utilize tax software and technology tools to streamline processes and improve deliverables
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• CPA (active) or JD with an active law license
• 4-7+ years of progressive experience in tax compliance and/or consulting
• Strong experience with corporate income tax and ASC 740 (provision preparation, review, and audit support)
• Recent experience in public accounting (Top 15 or large regional firms preferred)
• Experience supporting large, multi-state, national, or global organizations
• Proficiency in U.S. GAAP and corporate tax regulations
• Willingness to work in-office at least 3 days per week

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with OneSource Tax Provision (OTP) software
• Prior experience at the manager level (or senior associate ready for promotion)
• Demonstrated stability in career progression
