This is a part-time, 1099 contractor position with the potential for increased responsibility and hours over time.

Initial Key Responsibilities:

· Conduct comprehensive grant searches using online databases, government portals, and other resources to identify funding opportunities aligned with clients’ needs.

· Monitor and stay updated on federal, state, private, and local grant programs, including eligibility criteria, deadlines, and application requirements.

· Evaluate grant opportunities to determine alignment with client goals and feasibility of success.

· Gather and analyze first-source data to support the development of need statements and other components of grant proposals.

· Maintain a centralized grant tracking system to monitor application statuses, deadlines, and outcomes.

· Collaborate with the RCGW team to ensure timely and accurate submission of grant applications.

· Assist in drafting initial sections of grant proposals, including need statements, organizational backgrounds, and project summaries.

· Communicate with private or family foundations to advocate on behalf of clients and secure invitations to apply.

· Stay informed about industry trends, changes in grant regulations, and best practices in grant research and writing.

Qualifications:

· Associate’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., business, nonprofit management, public administration, communications) or equivalent experience.

· Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.

· Strong written communication skills, with the ability to write at a college level in a business formal style.

· Proficiency in Google Docs and/or Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with online research tools.

· Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.

· A passion for supporting nonprofit organizations and the communities they serve.

· Prior experience in grant writing, research, or technical writing is preferred but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate.

Commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI):

At River City Grant Writing, we are committed to fostering a workplace culture that embraces diversity, equity, and inclusion. Our success depends on creating an environment where everyone is treated with respect and fairness, and where all individuals have an equal opportunity to grow and succeed.

We pledge to:

· Promote DEI in all aspects of our operations.

· Foster an environment free from discrimination, harassment, and bias.

· Partner only with organizations that share our values of diversity, equity, and inclusion.

· Continuously learn and improve our practices to better support our team, clients, and communities.

· Meaningful Work: Contribute to the success of nonprofit organizations and make a difference in your community.

· Supportive Environment: Join a team that values collaboration, learning, and paid professional development.
