Job Summary:

The IT Specialist is responsible for delivering technical support and assistance for company-supported software applications, hardware, and related systems. This role involves diagnosing and troubleshooting technical issues while providing timely and effective solutions to end users.

  • Degree in related field with practical experience
  • Previous experience in customer service or an IT support role
  • Previous experience in network and server administration (preferred, but not required)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Azure service offerings

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Respond promptly to technical support requests via phone, email, in-person, or electronic channels in a prompt, professional, and courteous manner
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with end users and team members
  • Diagnose and solve IT security related action items from provided dashboard
  • Accurately document all support requests, issues, and resolutions in the appropriate ticketing system
  • Follow established IT procedures and contribute to the ongoing documentation and improvement of support processes
  • Escalate complex issues to senior team members or appropriate technical resources when necessary
  • Install, configure, and maintain desktop computers, laptops, tablets, desktop phones, printers, wireless devices, and access points
  • Continuously develop skills in networking, server, and storage administration to enhance support capabilities
Qualifications:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong customer service orientation with a proactive problem-solving mindset with the ability to explain technical concepts in clear, non-technical language
  • Highly organized with the ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
  • Highly motivated, creativity in problem solving.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and maintain composure under pressure
  • High-level PC troubleshooting skills (hardware diagnostics, component replacement, imaging, and deployment)
  • Strong proficiency with Windows OS (client and server editions) – including installation, patching, Active Directory, and troubleshooting
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Basic knowledge of network troubleshooting on various types of connections (satellite, hotspot, DIA, etc.)
Work Environment:
  • Schedule: Monday through Thursday 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Friday 7:00 AM – 11:00 AM
  • After hours and weekend work may be necessary
  • Primarily office-based desk work involving responding to support requests
  • Travel required to support multiple offices and job sites, which may vary in connectivity and technical complexity
