Our client, a respected law firm with a collaborative corporate and finance practice, is seeking a Paralegal to support sophisticated financial and corporate transactions. In this role, you will gain hands-on experience across a variety of matters including financings, public offerings, mergers and acquisitions, and other corporate transactions while working closely with attorneys and team members throughout the deal lifecycle. Responsibilities include preparing and filing UCC financing statements, assisting with closings, coordinating lien searches, supporting entity formations and compliance, and managing transaction documents and closing volumes. - Develop and apply foundational knowledge, procedures, and technology skills to complete assigned projects and tasks accurately and efficiently.
- Follow established processes and clear instructions while building the ability to identify resources that enhance efficiency and support high-quality work product.
- Apply strong organizational skills to manage workflow, prepare documents, and coordinate effectively within and across teams and departments.
- Proactively identify issues, consult with attorneys and team members, and contribute to timely problem resolution.
- Meet administrative and billable expectations, including preparing and releasing daily time entries and submitting weekly timecards.
- Support all phases of financial transactions, including general financings, public offerings, mergers and acquisitions, and other corporate matters.
- Prepare, review, and file UCC financing statements; draft closing certificates and checklists; coordinate lien reviews; and assist with entity formations and ongoing corporate compliance.
- Attend closings and assist with document management, including proofreading and redlining documents, conducting legal research, supporting auditor letter responses, and preparing and distributing bound closing volumes.
ABOUT YOU
- Bachelor’s degree required, with a strong academic record.
- Demonstrated interest in building a long-term career as a paralegal.
- Ability to work efficiently under direct supervision and consistently meet deadlines.
- Strong sense of accountability with the ability to take ownership of assignments and follow through to completion.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work product.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
