Job Description:

A leading communications agency is seeking a Senior Account Executive (Earned Media) to support a high-profile healthcare client across immunology, oncology, and medtech workstreams. This role will focus on media relations, rapid-response pitching, and strategic earned media execution in a fast-paced, highly collaborative agency environment.

This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who can jump in quickly, manage multiple priorities, and lead day-to-day media communications while partnering closely with internal teams and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead earned media outreach efforts, including building media lists, developing pitches, and securing coverage across national, local, trade, and broadcast outlets
• Manage multiple client projects simultaneously from concept through execution with quick turnaround timelines
• Serve as a day-to-day media contact for clients , ensuring clear, proactive, and consistent communication
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with reporters and media contacts (healthcare/trade media a plus)
• Support and contribute to proposal development , specifically earned media strategy and storytelling
• Draft and distribute high-volume, time-sensitive pitches , particularly around major medical meetings and data announcements
• Coordinate communications between internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders (including KOLs/physicians)
• Assist in preparing media materials, messaging documents, and outreach strategies tied to regulatory and data-driven announcements
• Supervise and support junior staff by providing guidance, feedback, and hands-on assistance when needed
• Maintain strong organization across deliverables, timelines, and communications (status docs, trackers, weekly updates)

Day-to-Day Environment

• Fast-paced, high-volume pitching environment with quick-turn deliverables (often same-day or within hours)
• Heavy focus on oncology and immunology , with additional medtech support as needed
• Significant activity around major medical congresses and data releases
• Highly collaborative team structure with constant communication via group chats, email, and check-ins
• Requires proactive updates and over-communication with internal teams and clients

Required Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in earned media / public relations within an agency environment
• Strong background in media relations and pitching across print, digital, and broadcast
• Experience managing multiple accounts and fast-moving deliverables simultaneously
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proven ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail
• Experience building media lists
