Job Description

Salary: $130,000 - 175,000 per year Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in incident response, security operations, or a security engineering role, or a bachelors degree in security engineering, computer science, cybersecurity, engineering, mathematics, or another STEM field.
• Proficiency in any modern programming language, including, but not limited to, Python, Go, C++, and Rust.
• Knowledge of incident response tasks or contributions to a CSIRT team.
• Experience in building ETL pipelines from various systems to enhance logging formats for threat detection.
• Proven ability to manage services in a Kubernetes environment, ensuring high availability through monitoring, alerting, and infrastructure automation.
• Understanding of traditional security operations settings and response procedures, along with modern SIEM systems.
• Familiarity with current attack methodologies and required evidence sources for investigations.
• Knowledge of enterprise security controls and best practices for Windows, Linux, and/or macOS systems.
• Willingness to work extended hours and weekends as necessary.

• Develop and enhance existing security detection systems and automation frameworks that support the Security Operations Center.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders of high-risk systems and services to identify and address detection deficiencies.
• Examine anomalous or suspicious activities within the environment as identified during the detection engineering phase.
• Engage in adversary emulation exercises to pinpoint detection vulnerabilities in the environment.
