Senior Tax Consultant – Remote (West Coast Preferred) $100,000 – $130,000 DOE

A fast-growing independent wealth management firm in Southern California is expanding its tax consulting division and looking for a Senior Tax Consultant to join a small, high-performing team. This firm works with high-net-worth individuals, business owners, and family office clients — and their tax consulting practice goes beyond traditional compliance. The focus is proactive tax strategy and maximizing savings across complex financial pictures. What the role looks like:

You're the implementation side of the practice. A client gets onboarded into a tax strategy — you're the one who builds it, executes it, and owns the relationship from there. That means quarterly client meetings, tax plan design and implementation, and a broad prep workload covering individual, trust, partnership, S-Corp, and C-Corp returns. Requirements:

• Active CPA or EA
• 5+ years of tax experience
• Multi-season prep across individual (1040), trust (1041), and entity returns (1065, 1120S, 1120)
• Client-facing experience with HNW individuals or business owners
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Nice to have:

• Family office or advanced tax strategy background (entity structuring, 1031 exchanges, accountable plans)
• Experience at a wealth management firm, RIA, or boutique tax advisory practice
  

Compensation & logistics:

• $100,000 – $130,000 base salary
• Fully remote
• West Coast candidates preferred
