Checker (QA/QC) – Sheet Metal Fabrication
Location: Manor, TX
Pay: $20/hour
Job Type: Full-time (temp to perm)
Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Checker to join our sheet metal fabrication team in Manor, TX. This role is responsible for ensuring all fabricated ductwork and components meet quality standards, specifications, and job requirements before shipment.
Key Responsibilities
Inspect fabricated sheet metal ductwork for accuracy and quality
Verify dimensions, fittings, and specifications against shop drawings
Check for defects such as improper seams, damage, or incomplete assembly
Confirm correct materials, gauges, and labeling
Count and organize parts to ensure complete orders
Coordinate with shop personnel and supervisors to resolve discrepancies
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Qualifications
Previous experience in sheet metal fabrication or warehouse environment preferred
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to read tape measures and basic shop drawings
Good communication and teamwork skills
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
Must be able to pass drug screening and background check
